We are pleased to announce that we had the privilege of providing legal assistance to a significant international player in the video games industry, also present in the Romanian market. This project marks one of the first engagements since the launch of our firm.

Our efforts were primarily dedicated to resolving sensitive labour law issues in the context of our client’s restructuring and the shutting down of one of their departments, based on moving related activities to another jurisdiction.

In such a process, it is always important to take a good care of the legal assessment of the real and serious economic reasons behind the restructuring decision, while, taking care, in the same time, to treat the employees fairly and to respect all their rights.

The endeavour to find solutions during this challenging phase has been an opportunity for us to pun yet another stone to our employment law practice.

The project was directly managed by Alex Teodorescu, Managing Partner, who handled the process with a 360 degree approach: from assessing the feasibility of the measure and its compliance with the employment law regulations, to preparing the strategy and the steps, up until preparing the internal documentation of the restructuring.
